I am glad that you like it so far, I have now started the 2cm but you will have to wait for that.

                  Hi Friends Collectors.

                  Congratulations for this terrific job

Just one comment, the magazine for the 2.cm Kwk 30 gun is a short model of ten shells because you can't move the twenty shells model seated on the turret, it's too heavy.

You can find more information about the 2.cm magazines here :
                  http://www.flak2cm.com/
in the chapter 'Storage and label' 'Magazines'.

                  Regards from France.
                  Stephane.

                    Hi Stephane,

                    Thanks for your kind comments.

I am aware of the magazine issue but at present I haven't found a ten round magazine for sale, I will one day.

I am glad to have stumbled on this thread- what a labor of love. A great project, I can see you building the hull to go with it.

You are right, it is a labour of love or a misguided fools dream. The cut steel for the hull is on a pallet waiting for me to start the machining needed to locate the suspension components. The upper hull structure and the radius arm profiles are currently being cut. One day, I hope, there will be a complete vehicle, one day.

I can relate but for me it's a Panther that I lust after oh for a time machine and some inattentive German tank crewmen.
I will enjoy seeing this project moving along to it's conclusion, wish we lived closer.

If I was being forced to own a ww2 tank I would actually have a Panzer 4 but that's just a dream. Anyway today was the big test, because up until now I have never tested if the mantlet, elevation mechanism and the gun carrier, all fit together in the turret. Happily they do, so I can now strip it all apart and play at spraying it all the right colours. Happy days!

Please say, what is the source of your drawings?
