Hello Gentlemen,
I purchased this ring (hopefully images will be attached) yesterday at a reputable auction house, it was catalogued simply as "Silver Panzer Division Dress Ring" and the attached lot number ticket had the following written on the reverse: "Silver Panzer Div. Dress Ring Herman Gerring circa 1943"
This lot was among several others for WWII German memorabillia and I must confess to buying with out first inspecting, I paid £70 + 15% commission.
After getting the ring home and having a closer look I am now feeling somewhat suspicious of its authenticity, perhaps those with much more experience would kindly like to add their observations on this matter.
Kind regards,
Thomas.
