Yes, the cord and plug are not original. Plugs often turn up loose on Ebay, but when both the cord and plug are wrong, there is little chance to get everything corrected. Using the assembly from a Dfh.a will mean that, though you get the cord and plug right, the functioning parts are no longer correct for Pz. If you are very lucky, what looks like a Dfha sometimes is assembled using a Dfhb instead (the only difference from a true Dfhb is that it will not have leather reinforcements). In the end, if you want a 100% correct Panzer headset, it is better to buy a correct one from the start.

Well, the truth is it does have some leather protection, at least in one of the earphones. I have seen some striped internal cables on some headset when peeled off the brown cover. Never mind anyhow, because this one in so poor condition and the fact that the copper is tied up (hadn't seen that) and not welded does mean is has been repaired.
