    Just Saw a Schwimmwagen

    Sometimes you never know what you're going to see!

    On the way back from a business meeting this morning, on a country road, I saw a model 166 Schwimmwagen on a flat bed sitting in front of an old building. I pulled over gave it a good look. It's parked in front of the building that "Edelweiss Militaria" resides in. Way Cool

        I live about 9 miles away from Hatfield, where they filmed SPR & Band of Brothers.

        I was driving home from work one day, during the Saving Private Ryan filming, and had to overtake/pass a tank transporter carrying a Tiger Tank - that image will stay with me forever!

          when i was 14 my family and i were driving about 20miles outside of manchester when we drove past a fairly ganit (thats a 50s british plane used on there carriers and used in the koreain war to you non plane people )parked by a wall so of course when we stopped to do some shopping i got my dad to find the feild it was parked in! got pics of it some where which il try to dig but the owner was great let me climb ALL over it!!!now that i will NEVER forget!!!!!

              Sold

              The Schwimmwagen that started this thread sold for $85,000.00 to a Belgian. Just thought I would drop in and sober everyone up.
