I've attached a picture of the most commonly accepted style of cap badge from the 1st PD. This style has come direct from vets and have been found in period photo albums.

I've only seen one other cap badge like yours. Its possible its of wartime manufacture, but use by the Veterans Association can't be ruled out. WR Jim
