Has anybody heard anything about where it is going? I hope they don't ship it to England on "temporary" basis that becomes "permanent".

It went to Fort Benning along with several other APG vehicles.

I guess being stored outside at Benning is no different from being stored outside at APG, except the Armor Museum at Benning won't open for several years, so the Jagdtiger, along with the vehicles from Fort Knox, won't be seen in public for quite awhile.

I thought they all were being moved to Ft. Lee in Va.? It sucks because I live about 15 miles from APG and used to go there all the time with my Grandfather who was a WW2 vet.

These "museum tanks" by-and-large belong to the respective U.S. Army branch centers. Most of the tanks at APG belong to the U.S. Army Ordnance Center, so they are being moved to Ft Lee with the relocation of the Ordnance Center to that post. The tanks at Ft Knox belong to the Armor Center, and have been relocated to Ft Benning since the Armor Center moved to Benning.

                    Best,
                    Greg

                      Heads up

Thanks for the Heads Up on it's whereabouts. Wouldn't want to visit one place and not see it there anymore.
