vehicle registration number - is there possibly to ID unit?

I'm looking for information - to what unit belongs truck with registration plate number "WH 834639". Is possibly to check this ?

Hi,

The WH numbers were given to new made vehicles at the manufacturing factory or at the first HZa they were sent for distribution after manufacture.

It could be many weeks or months before the vehicles got issed to a specific unit, but they would already have a WH number on them, so it is not possible (without some military units surviving paperwork) to know which unit a WH numbered vehicle went to.
