Please forgive me as I am about to ask a very stupid question here. On some Tiger Tanks I've seen they had a key symbol on the side of the turret. What does this mean? Again my apologies guys?

It denotes that the tank is attached to the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. See this article for info:
