    track eye

    Hi guys,

I got this track eye from a hungarian friend, who found it in the ground on the last week.
What do you think, what is it? Maybe is it a German panzer track eye or a Russian Panzer track eye?

    Thanks is advance!

    Best regards,
    Gabor

It's a Pz.Kpfw.I track link, if I'm not mistaken. It could also belong to a Maultier, Panzerwerfer, etc.

It's German. Panzer I with an ice cleat. The link isn't in great condition, but the ice cleats are generally rare, so makes this much more interesting! Should be 260mm across the widest point, if it's 280 then it's Panzer II which looks very similar.

            Thanks for the fast answer.

            The widest point is 260mm.

            Bets regards,

Definitely Panzer I then, but as Daimyo says, these tracks were also used on the Maultier halftrack trucks, so can't say for sure that it's actually from a tank. I have a couple in my collection but both are from Maultiers or Panzerwerfer 42.
