I had the pleasure of sitting in both the JT and JP in Bovington and you wouldn't believe how cramped they are inside...

Nice vehicles but a pity about the awful paint schemes, maybe they should all be put back into their original as when captured colours, might make more sense and be a lot more accurate.

You are not wrong there it is time they did it rather than inventing new ones every few years

                    The beast!

Hi,don't know if it is still there or not, these are from a couple of years back, don't think there's much inside but it still looks a very modern design and impressive sight! I have pictures of all the German tanks and vehicles that were there on the day of my visit.Regards David.

I collect mostly German helmets, but i never get tired of looking at the Tanks etc when i go to The War And Piece Show in Kent in the UK.
                      Good thread by the way.

This may be an odd question but here goes. Does anyone know the individual histories of any of the panzers in museums-like tank kills, rgt ect? I am asking mainly to see if any famous panzers are in museums.

The Tiger II that was late of the Patton Museum and I believe now at Ft. Bragg was from s.SS-Pz.Abt. 501 as part of Kampfgruppe Peiper and abandoned outside La Gleize. It's saga is captured here: http://www.ss501panzer.com/Saga_of_332.htm
