Incredible vehicles in this film, you can tell it was filmed with no rules at all, which makes it real!

Tanková brigáda - Subtitled in English
Czechoslovak movie TANK BRIGADE was made as propagandistic movie showing communist party and russian influence in very good light, but the masive battle scenes are worth to watch - in those times, no replicas were made, there was no reason because plenty of original tanks were available. Includes original T-34 tanks etc.

Epic war film. A separated armored brigade, which is alongside the Soviet army, battles to the Czechoslovak border, participated in the Dukla Pass, in a difficult winter. Goal was successfully participating in the liberation of Ostrava. Despite the time of its creation the film has perfectly crafted battle scenes, and now a unique insight into authentic combat techniques.

NOTE: The film is in colour althought the front cover as seen on the picture have only black and white photos.

Original Czech dvd release is out of print and very hard to find. Original Czech spoken language, subtitles in ENGLISH and Czech. Regionfree all region Pal dvd comes in original cardboard sleeve as pictured. Please check your dvd player compability - I won't accept returns if you don't know this. Shipping is 3£ in Europe, 4£ elsewhere (including USA).

This is a great movie indeed, it´s nice when somebody can appreciate czech movie. Too bad only very few movie pieces were in this bloody period. Almost all of the captured german armors were sraped during 50th except few exampes for museums. By the way almost whole plot of this movie takes part during liberation of Czech in operation near cities Ostrava and Opava. According to literature there were pretty hard fights between Germans, Russians and Czech soldiers who were with russian equipment but under their high command.
