If it is a Maybach indeed, I'd vote for it being a postwar rail engine, like these series:

No Maybach

If this engine was a very rare Maybach prototype, then considering it's value it would be very unlikely to see it presented like on the Youtube movie.

Googled for V12 tank engine pictures and guess what appears on the top row?


Here we see our "Tiger Engine on display!"


In 2004 this was captioned: "Isotta Fraschini model SS 46.3 litre V12 diesel tank engine"

Don't know this engine, but since it does not resemble any of the engines mentioned in the well researched books by Jentz/Doyle and Spielberger, I think we can safely rule out "Maybach" on this one.
