Panzer ? Part to ID

I found this part today - 153 cm length . Paint - Red and Feldgrau.

The diamond pattern and the feldgrau immediately make one think it's something early - Panzer I, II or a StuG, but I can't find anything like it in any photos. Any other clues around it?

I think it is the rear of an early panzer, the red is the rustprotection the Feldgrau the color of the tank. So before 1940 1941.
