    Need road wheel ID

This road wheel seems to be a tough nut to crack. Maybe someone on this forum can identify it?

Don't know, but it fits in the rear bin of the UE2 carrier (yellow).
I'll measure it next time I'm out there, nobody recognizes the hole pattern?

            wheel ID

            Hi all,

I can't place it on any German WW II vehicle...actually not on any allied tank as well from that era

it looks more like a wheel from a WW I truck or gun

better pics and some dimensions might help to ID it better

            ciao

Thanks for your help so far. It's a Norwegian find, diameter is around 60 cm. A guy told me it's probably French pre-war. But what vehicle?

              Here's some better pictures:

As it's from Norway, that narrows things down considerably. It's too big for a kettenkrad wheel and i agree that French could be a possibility. huge amounts of French equipment and weapons were used by units in Norway.

Could you say where it was found?

Also are there any manufacturer markings on the tyre?

What about from one of the various types of Maultier?

                      Hi all

                      no maultier !

                      - maultier has a wheeldiameter of 50,8 cm and it has central bearings

this wheel has 8 holes like most truckwheels did in those days ( some trucks had 5, 6 or even 10 bolts)

it isn't an altered hetzer or 38t wheel either (diameter 82.5cm and 78cm respectively)

                      ciao
