          Although not exactly to your specifications I figured this was worthy of the thread. If you look up The Collings Foundation here are a few military items he owns;

          2 88 flak guns
          storch recon plane
          B-17 bomber
          B-24 bomber
          replica ME-262
          Kettenkrad
          TBM avenger
          P-51 Mustang
          B-25

          and may others not only of the WWII era

          Some examples of non military items he owns are;

          Al Capones car

              Do somebody knows, have Mr. Wheatcroft started at least one of his HL230P30 engines?

                    private collections

                    oooh if it just were private collections then we would enjoy now many more German vehicles.
                    Unfortunately many came to grief in the scrap drive in the '50's that came over the APG collection. Precious items vanished.....SdKfz 250/8, SdKfz 234/2 , SdKfz 7/2, PzKpfw II Luchs, PzKpfw III mineclearing, PzKpfw IV muni ( Karl Gerät)etc .....

                    What I like to know is what the German MV collectors have in their inventory.
                    rumors are heared but we don't see their collectables that often.

                    ciao

                        The Karl Smith collection in Tooele, Utah. He has more than a few German vehicles and many many allied, I have not seen a full inventory though.

                              Does the owner ever bring these vehicles to events or does he have a museum? Either way, quite a collection!
