    yes great

haynes won't do one on the kettenkrad - i just asked them

I recently contacted Haynes regarding production of one of their manuals on the Kettenkrad

    here is their response

    Dear Mr Turland,

Thank you for your e-mail offering your book project to Haynes.
Unfortunately, I fear that the subject won’t produce sufficient sales to make a manual commercially viable for us.

I’m sorry to have to give you a disappointing response.

    Yours,

I have actually put a lot of effort into the content of the manual

here are some drawings i have produced

                  Hi Philip,

that looks great! Just last week a large bookshop here in The Netherlands got a Do-It-Yourself book printing machine. You deliver the book on .pdf format, they check it and then print it in any quantity. It is softcover only and costs for up to 200 pages Euro 12.50 per book (6 cents per page extra if over 200 pages). I'm sure something similar will be available in the UK?

                    That sounds excellent

i could keep it under 200 pages easy

printing a few is cost effective that way and i could print them as i need them after paid for

sounds like a plan to me

This machine is located in Amsterdam, you'll have to look around a bit if there is something similar in the UK.

Note it will only do internal illustrations in B/W.

thanks, glad you like the work so far

about 160 pages written so far

need to take loads of pics when i tear down the kk later in the year for remedial work and cosmetics later this year

working on the inst panel and front hull at the moment then more on the diff i think

sprocket might cause me a few problems but can't be as hard as those tubular wheels

                          pt
