I just found this on a militaria page and wanted to show you the rare car.
It is not mine nor do I know the owner.
It was painted over the original paint in the 60`s by graduating highschool students using it for fun.

Current bid is around $ 23400,- but expected to land on ca $ 40000,-

      Milweb Hanomag,

      Hi,
So what happened to the advert ?, its dissappeared already, Is it possible that the 40,000$ was achieved, amazing price.
I was hoping to see more photos of this vehicle and some more explanations about its mechanics etc., .

      cheers lennard

Nice project! Its a staff car but looks like its been converted to somekind of a "pick up" truck configuration...
with driver compartment seperation. Lots of work but it has potential!
At least the original engine, fenders, front doors, windshield and data plate(s) are still in place!

              Pkw

              Hi Nick,

You wil have to try again I'm afraid, its not what you think it is, but is closely related to the lEpkw's that you have shown in the photos.

Its body is original and it is a "pick up" look-a-like type of body.

Its a fascinating vehicle and this offering on Milweb is very very original.

And I was genuinely interested in what the mechanics of such a vehicle were like.

hers another restored regular lEpkw at a show in the UK.

              cheers lennard

                        Pkw

                        hi ,

Just so the new owner does not scrap its original body, this vehicle is a Hanomag 13B not a Hanomag 20B as advertised, also known as an ErlKoenig or lEpkw LPI II Schmalspur, first shown on the Wehrmacht stand at the 1938 Berlin motor show.

Its body is 350mm narrower than the regular lEpkw and the wheel track is 320mm narrower than the regular lEpkw, but lengthwise its ths same. The engine is also much smaller at 1300cc.

A very nice and interesting vehicle,

                        lennard

                          Hello all !

                          Facts:
My father is the owner of this car.
                          The car is not sold.

                          -
We had to remove the advert due to the enormous response we got. We feared for it getting stipped for parts by some east european gang.

We are going to sell it at a later date.

But for now any information on the car would be greatly appreciated.

As far as we know, its the best kept hanomag 13b in the world.

                          Thanks

                            Hei hanomag 13B.

                            Mvh Sdkfz2

I does also have an Hanomag 13B, that is actually made the same day as the red Hanomag shown on this forum. I did just start the restoration of my 13B but I miss all of the instruments on the dashboard/dashtable (sorry for my english). I would be very happy if somebody could email me some photoes of the instruments, it will than be easyer for me to search for the right stuff on ebay and other veteran markets. I did buy the ampermeter on ebay resently as a "Hanomag/Stoewer ampermeter"...but of course it was wrong...

I also want tips on where to get information on the Hanomag 13B. It seems for me to be almost impossible to find information of this car. The 13B was - after what I can see - only produced for war-time use, and we all know how the germans had ordnung in their things, so therefor I guess there must have been maked manuals, instructions etc for this 13B as well as th 20B. But where are this things?

Some say the 13B was produced in only 54 numbers?! Where does tis information come from? Can somebody confirm this teory? However the 13B seem to be a spesial made vehicle for difficult mountain roads and must after what I can see be one of the worlds most rare ww2 vehicles made for military operations ( I do not speak about sivil cars in military use as hitlers mercedes and so..)

Here a photo of my 13B whan it was in sivil use the first years afterthe war ended:

                              Regards from Norway.
