Panther 75mm shell holder
Some original colour at the back..
This piece came from the Panther from houffalize. 1978 panzers where
open in this period. Good i took it out. Other wise it would be rotten away.
So you can say i saved it. Thats why its still here in 2008 to show you

Pictures below show a Panther track link that I found 10 miles south of Vire, while on a trip to visit friends, we went on an afternoon walk. Not realising at the time of any fighting in the area, our walk along sunken country lanes led to a small crossroads, where there was a stone cross. It was soon apparent to me of fighting in the area by the numerous spang marks on it.
The friends we were staying with soon informed me that there had been considerable fighting in the area.
The following morning I returned to have a closer look and while checking out the bocage banks, I saw protruding a rusty piece of iron, the bank was soft and so with bear hands I tunnelled beneath, I soon realised what it was but as I neared the far end (I'm now at arms length beneath the piece of track) it dropped onto my arm trapping me. For a few moments I was a bit concerned but then I had to laugh, here I was, 60 years + after the war trapped in the Normandy bocage by a Panther.
I freed myself and trekked back to our friends cottage (leaving the track in the ditch) , the look on my face prompted my friend to say "I suppose you found a piece of a Tiger tank", when I replied "yes", can I borrow your car to collect it, his jaw dropped open in amazement.
The following autumn I returned with a metal detector and found smaller items, bullet cases, gas masks, shrapnel ammo boxes (.30 cal), I was able to pinpoint areas of German and American positions along various points of thew bocage banks.
The fuse shown was also found nearby to the track.
The track shows wear and is also damaged, though I not sure if this is from road use or battle damage.

Hi all,
here is a 10 ton jack made in 1944 that goes mainly on Stugs and Panzer IV and its derivates.
I found it many years ago in the Ardennes.
it works perfectly but it needs some further restoring
( the crank arm folding mechanism must be refurbished since its locked by rust)
It has some battle damage, a neat gash due to an impact of a .30 or maybe .50 caliber round that richochet off.
It caused a dent and a bolt that snapped.
