My collection of Panzer links. They are, from top to bottom:

Panzerwerfer 42 and Panzer 1 (probably from a Maultier halftrack)
    Panzer III/IV 40cm x 2
Ostketten and Winterketten (with ice cleat fitted)
    Panther
    Tiger I

The right-hand one of the two Panzer III/IV links deserves special attention. I have yet to find a single definitive photograph of a vehicle with this particular link on it. It has an open guide horn and and unusual tread pattern, but most obviously it has an additional cast bar across the open trapezoids. If anyone can find a picture of this link on a vehicle, I would be most grateful. It came from a StuG IV close to Liepāja in Latvia.

Excuse me I've read your reply only now

Well, you are far away from the place where I found the turret parts!
(I found other metal parts from the turret but are just pieces of metal, very hard to identify).
The place shown in the discussion is the village of Santa Lucia, a couple of kms south of the Pass. It was a strongpoint that counted of a 5 kms long antitank ditch, a good number of "Tobruk" emplacement (three of those equipped with Panther turrets, and probably some with MGs in armoured domes), minefields and a smaller number of big bunkers with antitanks guns. Nowadays, about 9-10 Tobruk emplacements are still present.

Another strongpoint (probably somehow weaker than the previous one) was located on the pass itself, in the same place where the german war cemetery was built after the war. The part of the Panther turret comes exactly from that place! I found it in a place some hundreds of metres from the top of the hill, where trash and ground was dumped when the cemetery was built

          Ironcrown,
Please can give us a precise location, a GPS coordinate or a map image etc as we would like to add it to our Axis History thread, and also visit it.

          Regards,
          Tom.

Sorry no gps coordinates at all, also because the place where I found the parts is not the same one where the Panther turret was located. I neither know where it was exactly, and I believe it's nearly impossible to find it now as the area was buldozered and nowadays is covered by german war graves.
I have just an opinion on the approximate place: probably around 50 metres from the war memorial at the top of the hill.
(Here a couple of pics taken from the web to give an idea).

What was the location of the parts?

              Tom.

Sorry but I think I will keep this information for myself

I told where the Pantherstellung was located and this should be enough for the discussion!
I don't like to share the places I find to go digging: competitors are too many and I don't like to help them. So please don't ask. Who goes digging I'm sure will understand my point of view

I know this seller, and have bought from this guy before. Great seller and has a very good collection of parts.

Yes, and there are others out there as well. I have had good success importing such heavy items as well.
