Rubber pads were taken by people right after the war to make, for example, shoes. This was often situation.

At this point the Germans crossed from the forest to the river.
This transporter separated 60 meters from the destroyed Panther and in this place I found the S-hook, that RTY identified as part of PzIV.
So maybe some PzIV stuck in the mud, and then was pulled out with this S-hook.

I also suspect that the 100 meters on the right was destroyed another machine.

Last weekend I found some rust too .......
darn heavy stuff ...this dude wheighs 160 kg

it wasn't easy to get it in and out of the car

Would you mind to tell which part are in original color and which are repainted?
Furthermore, could you please tell me what was the base color when you found it? Pictures of the original finding would be more than welcome...You know, there´s a certain controversy among modellers about if Red Lead Primer was used as base color with Dunkelgelb as secondary color, and this could be a key piece...

Hi FCJM,

I acquired the wheel in the state it is shown on the pics.
as far as I can see I found some traces of original paint on those sections with grease on them (inner wheelsdisc and axle base)
The remaining yellow and red oxide primer were added lateron I guess.
I don't know when it was repainted but the wheel was stockpiled outdoor ever since ......hence the deteriation of the paint, it looks pretty authentic though.

I do have other parts in full original dark yellow color too....
like this one.

Ahhh, pity it was repainted, now we can´t know if these were the original colors or not....By the way, nice Luchs wheel you have.
I´ve been toying with the idea of a "original color panzer parts catalogue" (OCPPC ) In which every one willing to help could provide images of their findings-aquisitions to compare camouflage schemes and colors. Given the present controversy on the subject it could be a nice source for endless, pointless discussions on dunkelgelb et al.
Just a good picture in direct sunlight of your items would be enough...Does anybody want to start?
I must confess, I just want to make things more difficult for the "Experten" on the subject...For instance, not so long ago somebody show here a Panther Schurzen in Red Primer base and no one wanted to see it.

Just a good picture in direct sunlight of your items would be enough...Does anybody want to start?

mmm direct sunlight will give a false impression ........better to make pics with slight overcast weather ....like the Luchs wheel

I also have a Schürzen from a late Jagdpanzer IV that has red oxide primer as base color with yellowish blotches ( not the standard dunkel gelb)
the red oxide primer appears to be of bad quality since if you clean it with water your cloth turns red too
the yellow paint was applied in a crude way with a lot of "runners"
unfortunately I can't make a pic of it since its not accessible at this moment...maybe in the summer

Well, that luchs wheel looks nice in its 1944 Dunkelgelb...You´re the photographer, choose the best way
Pity again that schurzen. Are you sure it is not repainted? It would be a good slap on the face of some experts... Well I´ll have to wait until summer, but if you´re right it will be worth the time...
Keep on the good work, but please take pictures of the relics before restoring...TIA

space?.....nono my parts are not in orbit

my two Jagdpanzer IV Schürzen are placed between the garage wall and my project 1973 Opel Manta A. This summer I hope to be able to re-arange things in that big garage (behind the Manta my sdkfz 251 stuff is stockpiled)
My plan is to move out all the military stuff and make more room for the two oldtimer cars.
