    Few Questions

    Hello
I'm new into the Pz. section, but I like it!

I don't know much and I like to learn more.

Q1: What does the Number on the 'Turm' mean?
Q2: If it is a number to recognize, can you do research to find out which crew was in it?

Q3: What does a 'Balkenkreuz' stands for on a Pz?
(Because sometime I see photos and they say: Pz WITH BALKENKREUZ!!)

Q4: Did you had to qualify yourself to drive a certain Panzer?
(I mean: If you could drive a Halftrack or Tiger could you drive a Jagdpanther also?)

Q5: What does the little number next to the Balkenkreuz mean?

    Ex.

    Thanks Panzer friends

    Kindly Regards
    Bart

You mean the the painted number on the turret? Because there was also a production turret numbers. The painted number told which tank in the unit it was. The three digit number denotes company, platoon and tank in the platoon. For example, 132 would mean second tank in the third platoon of the first company. But there was also other markins and different units could have different markins. There's plenty of literature about that.

Balkenkreuz is the white/black cross on the german tanks.

I'm pretty sure there was different training for operators of a Tiger, a Jagdpanther and a halftrack.
