          Hello Adrian,

well I didn't met any problem when going on this website. Anyway, here is another link which explains that this tank is located at Putivl, Sumy Oblast (Ukraine) and which confirms the information that RTY gave me in a PM :

          http://www.dancor.sumy.ua/articles/5088.htm

I hope that this website is safe !!

Please that would be great. I am sure your English is better than my Russian or Ukrainian

                Cheers, Ade.

                    This page is in Russian.

                    ...

                    Two tanks

The first point of interest is a stone cube. It is erected at the place where the partisans blew up an enemy' tank by a mine.
This tank is gone, it was scrapped after the war.

19 october 1941 two tanks come into the forest with the order to destroy the partisans. But the first tank suffered a track damage. The crew deserted the tank and climbed into the second tank.

The second tank began to retreat but was blown up at the mine.

The tank at the photo is the first tank.
                    It stays in the forest.
Now it is only the hull - all required details was unscrewed and took away.

Germans that organized an exhibition devoted to the german military technics (???) even wanted to buy it.

                    ...

I think that a museum (maybe a tank museum like the ones at Munster, Dresde, Koblenz or Sinsheim) tried to buy it in order to expose it in Germany..

                        Of course...

The question is - What exhibition is mentioned in the text.
