Now there's a combination I haven't seen before! Great news indeed. Glad to see that at least an attempt is being made. Hopefully the poeple restoring these vehicles will be able to put at least one or two together.

            better than scrapping it.

then it would be lost forever.

Did anyone know which type of tank was stolen (they only say "maybach tank") and which tanks where wrecked before the recovery was ordered?? I only know pictures of one cut up Pz IV and two more Pz IV stripped of anything which was removable without a cuttingtorch. The three StuG known from pictures (incl. the recovered one) and the JPz IV seem to be as complete as the they where burried once...

i think a Stug III was stollen and exported by ship up the Danube /to Germany?/ The legend is, it was a vehicle gift from the Furher to the queen and even still had a dedication plate inside! Is this true, I do not know.

Stug III and a few Pz IV have been stollen for metal, also some cupolas from Pz IV

Unfortunately there is fog falling over those vehicles. Something fishy is going on. There is a danger that all will be sold in a shady deal, the problem is that even scrapdealers may put their hands on some of the less preserved From local enthusiasts I hear, that the struggle is to get for the museum at least the JPz IV, but maybe nothing more! Still nothing is known for sure, but rumors for a very bad scenario spread more and more! Everything is so strange! The National Historical museum has not even a piece of such, but the fatass commie director is quoted to have said they are not inteersted and have no room for such things. Some guys tried to talk to president and defense minister but found no understanding, one of those two f***d commies even said something about those tanks as 'fascist symbols'. In the whole story, indeed a tank is needed. A running one, with loads of ammo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope for the best end of the whole story, but from what I hear so far, the opposite is more possible to happen. Lets wait and see!

                  commanders hatch?

Does anyone know if the commanders hatch was a German
conversion before they captured the tank and burried the
                  poor thing to rot?
