    [The key also looks like the ones used to start BMW motorcycles. I´ve rode them a lot of years and it´s been the same kind of key on the older models - up to the seventies, I think. Thanks for sharing.

        ... and that`s how my Grandpa earned his EK 1:

        He was with his Stug in a Battle against Russians, when he saw that his Kommandeur was stick in the mud with his Kübelwagen, no way to get out of the rain-sodden meadow. My Grandpa jumped out of his Stug, took the Krad from the Kradmelder which stood beside him and drove, it was a BMW, under the russian fire, to the Kübel, and saved his Kommandant. ( I don`t remember what happend to the Kommandant`s Driver ). So he saved the Life of him and earned the EK 1 !
