    Late war Opel Blitz markings

    hello all,

I am reassembling my 44 Opel Blitz 6700a after painting it Ord Tan.
It has a Rosenbauer double cab and watertank with ladder and hose reel etc etc. Its looking quite smart.
To give it a war time theme what markings should it display? Looking for an Italian Campaign Luftwaffe look to go with the Kiwi context.

At this stage in the war would you expect loading data on the front doors and white stripes on the bumper and front mudguards etc?

    any suggestion or pics appreciated.

    thanks

    Blitz allrad

My Bro-in-law just purchased a '44 Blitz Allrad from a collector in Ireland. It had been restored by Patrick Stoll in Germany a few years back. There are still pics of it on Stoll's website. It is finished in the late war camo scheme with ord. tan, rust red and olive green. It looks really good. It has white tips on the front bumper, but no shipping stencil on the cab door. It has 1st SS markings of a towed light AA unit. We pulled my Flak 38 at a recent reenactment with it and they looked awesome together.

      Biltz Allrad

Hi, I saw that on Milweb. Thats a very nice fire truck-back to cargo truck conversion. The whole Normandy SS tri scheme seems very popular with the UK vehicle owners. thanks for the link.
