    found this interesting picture as i was trawling the internet for kettenkrad bits and pieces

    That's a great pic, never seen it before - almost looks like another krad motor he's carrying, which would make sense given how the motor has to go in and out. Any info behind this photo , wartime or postwar?

      sorry bob, don't know anymore.

      googled for kettenkrad images and it popped up on the first page.

      looks like it came from a book from the lower part of another krad in the top right hand corner.

      don't think it is a krad engine.....shape of the oil sump is wrong, it won't fit between the torsion bar tunnels.

      mid production vehicle i think. Side Skirts, filled in grab handles but no front headlight. Low tow hooks at the front.

      don't know if it is a wartime pic of postwar. sorry.
