    Never saw this jacket before.

    Hello gents,

I found this picture in a french book about moroccan troups during Italy and France campaign.
Note the jacket of the servants.

    The whole uniform is strange.....

Maybe some sort of fire-proof uniform.....

        Reed-green HBT "Panzer" Uniform

        Hello!
It looks like the above to me. It appears the crews have actually buttoned the collar together, which is why it looks "strange".
        Regards,
        Bob Edwards

Servants? What's for lunch? A 150mm artillery shell? Be careful getting it out of the shell - they have an explosive personality!

IMO it is not a HBT uniform, look at the buttoms..... And the pockets...

Appears to be 2nd pattern HBT wrappers/ trousers...It also looks like it may be 1 piece coveralls as well.

Almost looks like an artists drawn picture and not an actual photograph.

This is the late war panzer assault uniform with the collar buttoned up.It was used by rocket troops and can be seen in alot of the photos of the Normandy invasion.

I agree for the 2nd pattern hbt uniform. What make a strange look is the jacket which seems worn inside the trousers.

I admit that I was wrong...

I did a little research it is the second pattern HBT uniform....... As Glenn said
They have many aspects of HBT Panzer wrappers......

These on the pic are all buttomed up, that gives the strange look.... And the pic is touched up...

Never seen one in a collection before...

                        Uniforms

Ok, so wierd looking uniforms, but what about the belt buckles, Luftwaffe ??, what about those odd collar patches, German/Eastern volunteers ?? what about the strange shape to the shell, very pointed, are not 15 cm Nebelwerther shells much more blunt nosed than this ? any comments ?.

                        cheers lennard

Some HBT jackets were issued with standard collar litzen applied such as in the photo. They were also issued with Panzer type and assault gun tabs, black, field grey and HBT from the factory.Have seen it on untouched HBT wrappers, cut off insignia etc

Buckles appear to be of the Heer aluminum variety.
