History: The German 206th Infantry Division, or (German designation 206.Infanterie-Division), was a military unit that served early in World War II (like most German infantry units) with no motorization, and relied heavily on leg and horse mobility...
The 206th Division served during the Invasion of Poland in 1939 as a reserve division for Army Group North. The 206th participated in Operation Typhoon (battle for Moscow) as part of the XXIII Corps under the Ninth Army. At this time, the division was under the command of Lieutenant General Hugo H******246;fl.
The division is known to have used Marder I's from January 1943 to December 1943.
That's all I could find but its only a theory at this point! NickLast edited by NickG; 06-03-2007, 06:18 PM.
