    POW Made Tiger Model

    I have been posting various items in the different forums to confirm their authenticity. This, however, is no doubt original. It is a model of a Tiger tank built by a relative of mine while he was a POW in Canada. I am unsure of his position within the tank during the war but I believe he was captured in 1943. He constructed the tank from wooden cigar boxes and the wheels are actually made from checkers. Everything works realisticaly and he built it completely from memory. I figured the Panzer guys would appreciate this item. Eventually I will persue his history and document everything.

                          Great!

                          That is a very good model for something made from memory with only what was at hand. Something to be treasured. It's really amazing. I can see why it is the centerpiece of your collection.

                          Do you know what unit your relative was in?

                            Greetings Chenny;

                            I have collected PoW in Canada handicraft for a number of years, and have yet to see a tank model that would equate with your fine sample.
                            Hopefully you will provide the history, etc. of your relative in the near future.

                            Robert
