    Poteau after the battle.

    Hello gents.
Probably the most popular tree of the Bulge.
    Thanks for looking.

      Thanks for posting.

Question: is the road still the same or has it been enlarged?

        Hi,
Thanks for the "now and then" photos. In fact, it******180;s quite a nice and special area to visit, due to the famous photos taken after the ambush. I******180;ve visited it twice. Enclosed are some photos taken two years ago. The first one shows the place coming from Poteau crossroad and looking to Recht. The other one depicts one of the poles appearing in the 1944 photos too (I******180;m not sure whether this is the one in the photo with the SS men sharing Lucky-Strike cigarettes. Maybe the other one on the background...)
        All the best. ******211;scar

This thread reminds me on some images we have taken on the 51. anniversary. We had a great weekend there, letting our collections "breathe" some historic air - enjoy.
