    Neat Pz standard bearer pic

    I just saw this pic on ebay.de (part of a larger photo album) and thought it was pretty interesting. I've never seen a standard carried in a vehicle during a parade before. Makes you wonder why he's wearing a bandolier...

    Anyhow, here's the pic for anyone interested.

      The bandolier would presumably be worn on the assumption that at some point he will/might dismouint the vehicle, join the rest of the unit nd carry the standard in the usual fashion.

        Chris that photo was part of a photo album. The seller had his starting bid at more than twice what the album was worth. He reduced and relisted twice but never sold it.

        Peter your are correct about the bandolier, below is a small sampling from my collection to demonstrate.

                Armoured Car

                It is an early production Sd.Kfz. 223 kleiner Funkwagen, same Basis as the Sd.Kfz. 222 but different armoured body from Sd.Kfz. 221
