MarioL/Michael - Thanks for information. I forgot I had contributed to that axishistory tread. . I did find a book on Amazon. I'd like to research the 116. Panzer-Division some more and find out if they took any new Panther G's after October 1944.

Stinch, what do you mean with "took any new Panther G's after October 1944" ? Do you mean this is a pre Oct -44 vehicle? or that the 116th used "2nd hand" G's? There are numerous features that suggest this is G was produced in Oct 44 or later, no zimmerit, chin mantlet and what looks like a raised heater on the engine deck being the most noticeable.
