    Hi Don,

    Actually, the tanks used in Patton and Battle of the Bulge are American M-47 Patton and M-41 tanks.

    Personally, I always thought the M-60A1 or M-60A3 would make a half fair King Tiger tank if you yanked off the machine gun turret and did some cosmetic work. It will not be perfect but will look a lot better than either a Sherman with a cross on it or a T-34 in drag.

    I have a fair collection of Tamiya models. The M-41 and Panzer III have a fairly close size and running gear. A M-41 body could be converted to look like a Panzer III Ausf M. It would look great at reenactments or in movies.

    But I have neither an M-41 body or the money so this is just wishing.

    Pity.

      I stand corrected! I hadn't seen the movie in a few years. You would think that if they took the trouble to use a couple of Spanish He-111's in Patton, they could have at least clad the US tanks in something better than they did!
