    MG34 Werkzeug

    Hello.

    These are photos of "MG34 Werkzeug" for tanks (such as Tiger and Panther, maybe others).

    I am restoring such box now.
    It is in very bad condition and has no cover and some components.

    Help me please.
    I need photos or schematics of such box with all of it's interior.
    Also I need a drawing of the cover with all dimensions.

    Whom can I ask about my question?

        Hi there.
        Are you going to produce a new box? If you cant find any drawings/blueprints of it or any original box to measure, here is how to do it. I work with 3D modeling and this is how it is often done.

        In the photo we have a spanner and two two bolts for the machinegun in place. As you can see we can place the largest spanner width nearly 7 times across. If we know the spanner width we have the first measure for your box. I have a spanner like that and can give you the size of it. You can use the length of the gunbolts to get the size if that is more easy.

        A box like this will typicaly be made of sheet metal ranging from 0.8mm to 1.5mm (Germans and Europeans measure in metrics). This box i guess is made of 1mm sheet metal. The fasteners that clamps the gunbolts to the box will be made of a stiff and hardened sheet metal. That fastener is the same by the looks of it as found in the leather toolpouch for machinegun crews.

          This is a good method, but not the best, because of insufficient precision.

          I want to find somebody, who have such box and who is able to make a drawing with precision of up to 0.1-0.5 mm.
          I am sure, I have enough imformation for mutually beneficial exchange.
