T-34/76's Around?

It seems these tanks are very hard to find with just a few (okay, maybe 15 or so) still in museums. Are there any running examples? I don't want this thread to veer towards the T-34/85 which are far more common. If anyone knows of running and/or interesting T-34/76 tanks I'd love to hear about them. Ever seen one for sale?

2-3 years ago, One nice wwII T-34 was sold for USD$500 and later dismantled by cutting torches/saw... The scrap metals were sold for USD$2000.

I know of one T-34/76 that sank in a swamp in Estonia and it is still there.
The soviet tank crew got stuck and bailed from the tank, and it sat there for years and finally sank under the surface.

There are two T-34/76 in Berlin, in the Soviet Memorial, in the Tiergarten. Here is a photo of one of the two :

There are 2 T-34/76 in Aberdeen (one cut open, the other one was in German service when it was aquired by the U.S. Army)
2 more are in the Kubinka Tank Museum, 3 in the Victory Memorial, Moscow and 1 in the Museum of the red Army, Moscow.

1 T-34/76 is exposed in THE MUSEUM "THE HISTORY OF TANK T-34" near Moscow and another one in Novosokolniki, Pskov region in Russia.
1 is exposed in Donetsk in Ukraine.

1 is in the Panzermuseum M******252;nster (there is also a rare T-34-76 F turret in this museum) and 1 is in the Saumur Tank Museum
8 are said to be in Poland (2 in Gdansk, 1 in Studzianki Pancerne, 1 in Poznan and I am looking for the last 4..)
1 is in running condition in Lesany (Cz), 1 in the Vojensk******233; Technick******233; Muzeum in Czech Republic, 2 in the Sowjetisches Ehrenmal Berlin-Tiergarten.
1 was found in a bog in Estonia with Wehrmacht markings..

2 more T-34/76 are at the Parola Finnish Armour Museum (one is in running condition) and 1 more in the Savon Prikaati garrison in Mikkeli, Finland. There is also a wreck at the Finnish Armour Museum in Parola, Finland.


so the count is 30 for now (I have photos of 26 of them).. not including those I don't know yet...However, for sure much more shermans survived..

Very informative post! I had no idea that there were this many left. I only knew of about 12 '76's Glad to know that there are more survivors out there.

Can you post some pictures of the 26 vehicles? I'd like to see the one in Donetsk as well as the survivors in Poland that you have tracked down.

Regarding the former Beutepanzer T-34 at Aberdeen- I had no idea that this was originally a Beutepanzer! Very interesting indeed. DO you have any images of this one at the time of its capture, or shortly thereafter with the German markings? A long shot, I know, but worth asking
