Hi Yancy, you most likey know of this one already, not a huge amount of detail, but at least it is a start for you:

          hello jan,

thanks for the link,it was an interesting thread, unfortunately it was after my man was allready KIA (I have his wehrpass,he was killed in Italy) I have referances to other rgt in the division (Rgt diaries) ,but none that mention what type of vehicles the Aufkl.Abt.26 used.

                Hi,
A Gliederung of the 26. PD from spring 1945 shows 3./PzAA26 as organised according to K.St.N.1114c (gp) (fG), Panzeraufklärungskompanie (gepanzert), which you can find in detail here:
                http://chrito.users1.50megs.com/kstn...gpfg1jul44.htm
The equipment shown is 18 leSPW (=Sdkfz 250), which is at odds with the above KStN, specifying mSPW (=Sdkfz 251).
The weapons include a 3,7cm PaK, suggesting the presence of a Sdkfz 250/10. I think that given the fact that the 26. PD was never withdrawn for refit, they would have kept their old vehicles, so these 250s may have been early (Alte) versions.

                Best regards
                Aris Kosionidis
