    I hate to see a post go unanswered...
    But from the Tank Killers book, I think it is the guy who fires the panzershreck who gets the tank destruction strip

      Tank Killers also shows a picture of Skorzeny awarding them "en mass", according to the description, to soldiers under his command. If this means all got one, or there was just a mass of people getting them, I am not sure.

      Did anyone notice how many TDB receipients also had the CCC? These guys were in the thick of it, and some truely couragous men.

      A war correspondent by the name of Hans Honsheid earned not only 3 TDB's, but the CCC in gold, and the KC and DK in gold. I am surprised he had any time to actually be a correspondent....

        Hello,

        Thank you for the reply guys, i have also the book " Tank Killers " , but there is by my knowledge never mentioned who from the " Panzerschreck " crew received the TDB ? => so this question is still open ????

        Is there anyone out there ( from our old knowledging friends ??? ) who cane answer this one ?

        I think they mean in the book " en masse " => to every soldier who did knock out a tank by that moment under Mr.Skorzeny's command.

          On page 13 of Tank Killers, where the anouncement of the TDB is translated, it states;

          A tank destruction badge will be awarded to the individual most decisively invloved in the destruction of each armored vehicle.

          I take this as meaning the one aiming the Panzershrek.

            Tank Destruction badge question

            I always assumed 'non crew served weapon" would disqualify a Panzershrek "crew"...any of them as it technically is a crew served weapon.

                      One was listed on ebay today for $29.00 and I believe it went unsold. They are still available, just shop around for a decent price.

                      Good luck!
