    By the way: Michael H.Pruett & Robert J.edwards wrote in their book " Field Uniforms of German Army Panzer Fprces in WW2" on page 3: "The flaps were secured with a single 13mm diameter black plastic button centrally located on each of the pockets, although in a few rare examples two buttons secured each flap"

    And in the book "German Soldiers Of World War Two" by Jean De Lagarde, you can see such trousers on page 95.

    Hi,
    your veteran may as well have worn them(please refer to my previous posts!) even if they're not LW/HGH issue,but please consider that these trousers did exist in other colors than blue,and thery're very likely HJ issue!Steve is right and Ade's right too and please don't take what you read on books as carved in stone and use that Jean De Lagarde book to light up a bonfire.....don't ask us why or else we'd start a new,loooooooong thread !
