WW II Victory Museum

Just got back from IN yesterday and got to visit the most fantastic museum I have ever visited. The WW II Victory Museum in Auburn, IN has the greatest collection by far of German soft skin vehicles I have ever seen! They have over 190 vehicles total! All displayed by the era of the war they would have been used. The collection starts with Poland and ends with the fall of Berlin. They spent 22,000,000.00 dollars for the aquisition of the vehicles which came from the Victory Memorial Museum in Belgium and the property in IN. They have a 10 year plan to improve this wonderful museum with an even larger collection to include armor vehicles and a large uniform display. I have been to Munster and was knocked off my feet with their wonderful collection and have also been to the Patton Museum on this past trip also. This museum is by far better than either one of those two museums combined!

Not all the German veichles are original quite a few were made to order useing similar veichles and components with replica bodys when the collection was owned by Guy Arrens (sp)

Really! Well you could of fooled me. I looked up close and at every angle for about 4 1/2 hours and they all looked quite original. They had a 8.8 cm Flak gun that looked great. But when I got close to it, it had rust here and there and the trailer tires were down to the cords. Their Famo tractors were fantastic! They have four, all dirrerent sizes and all in pristine condition.
