Its been almost a couple years since I purchased this album at a flea market here in Ohio. The original owner, Roy Barger who is now deceased, was a member of the 508th PIR during the second world war. He took hundreds of wartime and immediate post-war photos. Great original photos and it is a joy to go through them everytime. There are several photos of German motorized equipment pieces but the one I am posting is especially interesting. It appears to be a German railcar with mounted cannon. Mr. Barger was stationed in Frankfurt for a year after the war so my guess is this piece of equipment was located there as well. Seems like someone told me the german name for this piece of equipment but I can't locate the information right now. Please excuse the poor quality of my photography as the original is more clear. Thanks for looking! Kim

Panzerdraisinen
Kfields,
Very nice shot of the Panzerdraisinen you posted. Thank you also for sharing the story about the 508th PIR veteran as well.
Here is a link (in German) with more information.

I also highly recommend the series of books by Wolfgang Sawodny for additional research.

Hope this helps.
