All, I have found several very intense threads online arguing about what tank Wittmann actually took into Villers-Bocage. Have there been any definitive discoveries about his Tiger's number that day?

In the the book "Villers- Bocage Normandy 1944" by Henri Marie Wittman took over Sgt. Sowa #222 and took that in to Villers-Bocage.
