Yesterday after cleaning wheel, I put to phosphoric acid metal lockers for roundtable. Today I took them, little brushing and we have next goal for tommorow.

Next stage in my project is to restore this horizontal movement gearbox, I think I will find another and replace this kne for better, but now I have what I have and I need to repair it. I will not be easy, but I have an idea how do this.

As You can see there is missing bottom part. I will use new made bottom part wich I will fit to the gearbox by screws. I am sure it will works.
Repro part of missing bottom of traverse gearbox, it is in original one dimensions, made of alluminium and steel like it schould be. Now I need to fit it in gearbox cerfully with correct geometry and it schould works...I think...

Today i picked up my craddle from sandblasting. I have some free time and I painted it in primer. Metal parts I dont want to paint now. I used an oil and I will try to dismount it all. Also on one side I found two WaA57

Small parts of Sd.Ah.51 trailer and some shields painted in red primer. Next will be sandblasting Sd.Ah.51 frame.

SD.AH. 51 mainframe after sandblast. It looks really nice and clean. I found small traces of signatures - only three digit number near hook mount. It is hard to take photos because they are very light stamped. Fast painting and it is ready. Next will be repair of foot and removing lock pin.

Hello, Because of Forum migration some post are lost, Now I will publisch them again

Today was a hard day... a lot of work but without visible effects... I tried to remove locking pin, it was heated by propan-butan torch by two days and nothing.. I made decision to cut mount to make some space inside and 3 minutes later pin was removed. It is still not moving in cylinder but now I can put it to the fire and burn all rust between pin and cylinder. I Made cut line from bottom and after solided and polished it will not be visible.
I also repaired two socket mounts because from bottom they had very big holes, I also repaired one mount for fender but unfortunetly I forgot to take pictures.
10 hours of work... and effects are not spectacular... but it must be done and now it is

Today I received for my project some gifts from Germany. Thanks Marian, I hope I will repair these boxes. They was found in a lake. Nice interrior parts wooden holders for Schvebelkreisvisier 38, also Flak mag boxes looks nice inside. On Schvebelkreisvisier box I will try to rescue original paint from outside. Flak mag box I will sandblast and try to repair it. I will publish progress of renovation.

I had a chance to get traverse gearbox in better condition than I have and I am verry happy. I was looking a loong time for this gearbox. It is with handwheel but all need restoration and cleaning. After receiving it I started to dismount all parts.

Still working on traverse gearbox... It is opened now and I need to remove all parts to clean it. I know that I probably must replace almost all bearings because balls are rusted to the bucket inside bearings. I will try to use evapo-rust on all metal parts from inside.
