German use of Pak 76 (r) from Zis 3

I cannot find where use of this weapon system on the Marder series kept the original Zis 3 muzzle break. Why would they bother to change it out?

The Marder III did not use the Zis-3 gun, but the gun Ф-22 (F-22) which had no nozzle on the gun barrel.

they rebored the gun to accept the PaK40 case. The shell itself was 7,62cm
