    Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
    I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

    Hi Hans,

    It looks like a postwar Souval with the characteristic circular 50s catch replaced (the outline of which still appears to be visible) and a spurious mark added.

    Please direct the inquirer to these threads;

    GOLD: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=souval

    SILVER: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ghlight=souval

    Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

    If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

      Thanks for those links, Mike. I too had already received these pictures and said it wasn't one I would buy, but I didn't know exactly what it was. Your links explain it all.

        Many thanks

        Hans and dale, Thank you for all of your help in this matter. This is alarming to me due to the reputation of the seller. I am glad that I was able to get a more definite answer on the authenticity. I again thank you for all your help. I am still looking for a nice gold wound badge so if anybody ever sees one or knows of one for sale I would be in the market to purchase it.

          Not sure why you didn't just post it up for discussion, instead of searching out members who frequent this section of the forum and contact them privately, (as you did me as well).
          Posting it for discussion also allows you to get unbiased, multiple opinions.
          Ralph.

          P.S. It is not one for me either.

              For some reason it won’t let me post pictures but it would let me message people. So I was merely looking for a second opinion and then Hans helped me by posting it. Sorry if it was an inconvenience

                  Not so much an inconvenience, just an odd way of operating, no introduction or anything. Just, "can you help me?"
