I picked this Condor Legion wound badge this weekend. I was wondering what yall's opinions are on it. All opinions are appreciated.

Pictures are a bit unsharp, but the badge looks okay to me.

    Kind regards,

    AW

Ah yes of course! The fat swaz, how could I forget about that. It still tricks me.... Luckily life is a learning curve. Thanks for making that clear once more Ronny. My apologies for the bad evaluation Kenny.

          Kind regards,

          AW

I’m curious. Why does everyone believe that the “fat swaz” versions are copies? I’m not implying that they are original. I’m just curious to learn how it was determined that they are reproductions.

There are no easy way to spot any fake! It all comes down to gut feeling, experiance and simple forensics in terms of anomalies found on badge and/or hardware, same design with too many different hardware variations and in some cases markings that don´t comply to the maker in question. And then there are strange issues like base metal that is wrong, wierd ageing etc etc etc.

Dedicated collectors usually keeps a data base with both original as well as fake variations. The fakers tries to improve their **** and with a DB it is most of the times very simple to keep up with the improved issues. And some collectors are following certain mongrels and their doings online

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Thanks for the feedback Hans. I am aware of the things you mentioned. However, I’m still wondering why it’s been decided thah a “fat swaz” is a sure sign of a reproduction.

Can’t anyone tell me why a “fat Swaz” is considered a sure sign of a reproduction?
