    Double-Marked W&L Silver Wound Badge

    Hi guys,

Not a very pretty example, but I like it because of the double maker marking.

    Best regards,
    Tom

Lieferant code number 100 on the catch boss (red circle) and LdO commercial code L55 (blue circle). Both codes used by Rudolf Wächtler & Lange of Mittweida.

      Hi Tom

      I like it

Not often seen in my opinion. I have seen a couple examples like this but never had the opportunity to add to my collection.

When you get time a clear pic of the L55 would be great. Often the stamping appears lightly stamped.

      congrats

Nice one, Tom, and despite the W&L markings, most likely made in Gablonz by Scholze. See this thread - http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ght=100&page=2.

          Hi Graeme,

Thank you for the comments. Yes! The L55 stamping on this piece is very faint. You can barely make it out and I doubt my camera will be able to capture it adequately.

          Best regards,
          Tom

A nice and rarer addition Tom Like Greame says the double marked are not often encountered out there.

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).

Nice badge Tom! Although the badge has lost most of its finish, the double maker mark really makes this one a keeper!

                  Kind regards,

                  AW
