1918 Gold and Silver Wound Badges for review

    Hi Guys,

I bought these gold and silver 1918 Wound Badges in pre-Internet days. All I could go on was a hunch that they were good. One is a solid 'gold' one, which looks well worn, the other two are cut-out versions. I am more suspicious of these, but still hopeful.

Thanks for looking and for all comments

    All the best,

    Guy

Hello. I think the two silver ones are good. I don't know about the gold. Regards, Ron.

Thanks, Ron, I appreciate your comments. The solid one is magnetic, the cut-outs are not, so perhaps this is not a good sign.

            Three Imperial Wound Badges

            Hello ancientrelicsuk,
I like these three; they all look good to me. As already stated, there were many different makers of these badges and they weren’t always made during the First World War only but through the 1920s-30s. The lower silver for example (the one with the bent helmet peak) is of Third Reich manufacture, as far as I am aware. I have a few of these and also badges very similar to your other two.
            Regards
            Norman
