    Definitely a bullet hole. I wonder what wartime caliber? 9mm...8mm...30cal...308cal?

          guys stay realistic. Most of the badges or military equipment has damage because of shrapnels, not bullets. Of course, this one was shot but most likely after the war. Same with dog tag posted later. I had several ground dug examples out of my more than 500 pieces collection of dog tags and just only one was shot through, usually the only damaged was caused by shrapnels.
