What do you think this is a wound badge in silver or gold?

It could be a well worn black one,Kevin.

I would say that if that is a silver Panzer Kampfabzeichen, it is likely a black Verwundetenabzeichen as Kevin states.
He does not appear to be missing an arm or any other major injuries.

            Wound Badge Photo

It is difficult to tell, but I think given the reflection of light and, as mentioned comparison with the Panzer Assault Badge, (assuming that is silver) I would guess at it being a black issue.

Can you zoom out the specific area?
Black or silver WB are the candidates.

This photo does not belong to me. It is for sale on one of the forums.
Thank you all for your opinion and advice. I was hoping that it was gold, but now I am sure that it is not

                    Photo of Silver Wound Badge

Yes, I would say it was a silver, only because of the grain of the photo, it looks more like a cast fake!

I want to believe that this is a wound in gold, but I'm not sure. What is your opinion?

Don´t throw away your fake WB´s! Get in touch with me.
I collect them for reference purposes for the benefit of the hobby (for the right "fake" price of course).
