    Silver WB Opinions Please

I confess to being wound badge illiterate. What are your opinions on this?
27.1 grams. 43.4 mm high x 36.1 mm wide. Only the pin is magnetic. No markings anywhere that I can see.
    Thank you in advance.

Hi. I think it is a good zinc badge. Ron.

      Hi Dwayne,

I would let this one go. It looks very crude. The catch and pin are definitely replaced if the badge itself is at all original.

Hello Dwayne, the badge itself maybe an original but the hardware is replaced there are a lot of better examples out there so i would pass on it Kevin.

Looks like a S&L badge. Is it possible to post some clear close ups on the hinge and catch?

Kinda controversial as you can understand from the comments. I'd skip and buy a more sound specimen. Silver 1939 Wound Badges are still within reach.

Thank you for your thoughts and comments. I have had this badge for almost thirty years, but have no recollection of obtaining it. I'm sure I didn't spend much on it. I am more curious about it now since reading your posts , so I will post better pictures soon. I hope you'll have more to say about it then.

I finally got a few more pictures for you to examine...and in the process broke off the clasp! Ugh. Anyway, any more additional thoughts about this badge? Thanks for looking.

repaired badge but still more appealing to me than mint condition award that did not see any action.

Repaired genuine badge as already mentioned in overall very poor condition.

                        Best regards,
                        Franko
